I could go on and on about how terrible this software is, but honestly, it’s just plain bad. Linguix loves to throw out suggestions to 'simplify' your sentences, but they don’t really shorten them or make them clearer. As Churchill famously said, 'If I had more time I would have written you a shorter letter.' Linguix, however, takes a whole different route, completely altering your sentence structure, adding unnecessary repetition, or rearranging things so characters act in ways you didn’t intend.

I’ve tried Grammarly before, and it never made suggestions like these, nor did ProWritingAid, so this isn’t a problem all AI writing assistants share. It seems like Linguix has been designed to rewrite instead of revise or suggest, and it really shows when you feed it creative works. Just toss in some well-crafted, published novels and brace yourself for the ridiculous and downright silly suggestions this AI comes up with. A chapter from Harry Potter in Grammarly shows zero errors and no improvement suggestions, while Linguix has the nerve to propose changes that could mess with the story. It’s just awful! It truly wastes your time.

I recently started using Linguix since Grammarly got way too pricey. So far, Linguix appears to be alright. My main issue is that there doesn't seem to be a way to choose between UK or US English. It really annoys me when words like colour or digitise get flagged as mistakes. Plus, I’m not a fan of that little score on the right side that tells you how much of a 'dope' you are, just for that reason.
